About EBIC

EBIC is a project that works with disadvantaged communities in Brazil (such as favela dwellers, the homeless and garbage pickers) to empower them to gain critical skills and access to information to identify what is or is not likely to be ‘fake news’, particularly in the realm of COVID-19.

Funding

We are funded through AHRC/GCRF, the project combines the expertise of teams at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the Universidade Federal de Goiás, Goiânia, Brazil.
